For more than three decades Frank Fuentes has been a fierce and determined advocate for the Hispanic Construction and Developing community. Commencing in the early 1990’s Frank was one of the founders of the U.S. Hispanic Contractors Association (USHCA), a national non-profit organized to ensure fair and equitable access to business opportunities for Hispanic construction industry firms and workers. He is a leading advocate working to ensure equal access to contracts, fair bidding opportunities, and representation across local, state, and federal levels.
Key Contributions:
- Instrumental in adoption of the CASA Act.
- Appointed by the George W. Bush administration to ensure all building codes are available in Spanish.
- Advocates for Hispanic-owned construction businesses in Austin and nationwide.
- Provides training, certification, and mentorship programs in support of developers and contactors.
- Serves as a voice on policy issues impacting construction, immigration, and labor.
- Recognized for advancing opportunities for Hispanic communities in development and construction.
