Market Outlook, Real Estate Law & Advocacy Wins
As 2026 approaches, REALTORS® in Williamson and Bastrop counties are entering a year shaped by steady market conditions, important regulatory updates, and significant advocacy victories at the state and local levels. Understanding these shifts will help you better advise clients, strengthen your business, and stay ahead in a competitive Central Texas market.
Market Outlook: Continued Growth and Returning Confidence
Our region remains one of the strongest and most resilient in Central Texas. Williamson County continues to drive growth through top employers, excellent schools, and vibrant community amenities. Bastrop County is benefiting from increasing residential development, major commercial projects, and expanding infrastructure that draws new residents each year.
Despite elevated interest rates, buyer confidence is returning. Sellers are re-engaging as inventory improves, and new-construction opportunities are helping stabilize prices.
REALTORS® can anticipate:
• Moderate but steady price appreciation
• Inventory improvements, especially with continued builder activity
• Strong rental demand attracting investors
• A more balanced market supporting both buyers and sellers
This measured pace of growth supports long-term stability across both counties.

Advocacy Wins: Big Results for Texas REALTORS®
The November 2025 election brought major victories for property owners and the real estate industry — thanks in part to strong REALTOR® engagement.
• A Clean Sweep on Statewide Issues – Texas REALTORS® supported nine statewide constitutional amendments, and all nine passed, strengthening property rights, enhancing community investment, and supporting homeowners across the state.
• Local Victories Powered by TRIP – The Texas REALTORS® Issues PAC (TRIP) saw major wins in Collin and Bexar counties, where supported propositions passed decisively. These outcomes advance public safety, economic development, and long-term property value stability.
• TREPAC-Supported Candidates Succeed – Of 16 contested candidates supported by TREPAC, 11 won outright and two advanced to runoffs, an impressive 81% success rate. These candidates earned support for their commitment to private property rights and smart community development.
These results reinforce a clear truth: When REALTORS® vote, Texas wins.
