The Women’s Council of REALTORS® Austin is proud to celebrate another successful year of leadership, community involvement and professional growth within the real estate industry. For more than a decade, the organization has worked to elevate its members, strengthen the local real estate community and give back to the city it serves, and the past year proved no exception.
In May, the organization hosted its annual Purse Bingo Fundraiser, bringing together REALTORS®, industry partners, and community members for an evening of fun and philanthropy. The event has become a signature gathering on the local calendar, blending friendly competition with a shared commitment to community service. Attendees enjoyed games, prizes and the chance to connect with peers from across the Austin real estate community. The energy in the room reflected the camaraderie that has come to define the Council, where professional relationships often grow into lasting friendships. Thanks to the generosity of attendees and sponsors, the event raised more than $2,000 for Hope Alliance, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by domestic violence and sexual assault.
“Our members are passionate about giving back to the communities we serve,” said representatives of Women’s Council of REALTORS® Austin. “Purse Bingo is always a favorite event, and we’re honored that the funds raised will help Hope Alliance continue its important work.”
Beyond fundraising, the Council remains focused on professional development, offering members access to mentorship, leadership training and networking opportunities designed to advance their careers. These programs reflect a broader mission to position women as influential voices in real estate and the business community at large. By equipping members with practical skills and meaningful connections, the Council helps emerging leaders build lasting careers and confidence both inside and outside the office. Workshops, guest speakers and peer-led sessions give members the tools to navigate a changing market while building the relationships that sustain long-term success.
As the organization looks ahead, members are encouraged to participate in the upcoming 2027 Board of Directors elections, which will take place on July 22. The election provides members with an opportunity to help shape the future of the local network and continue the Council’s mission of advancing women as business leaders in the real estate industry and beyond. Members are encouraged to consider stepping into leadership roles, where they can contribute their ideas, energy and vision to the organization’s continued growth.
Women’s Council of REALTORS® Austin is also extending an invitation to real estate professionals looking to expand their networks, develop leadership skills and become part of a supportive community of industry peers. Membership offers both seasoned agents and newcomers a chance to grow alongside others who share their drive and values.
